is Growing and Going Green!!!

This is a huge year for the Chesapeake Bay Christmas Company and we want all of our loyal customers from the last 13 years and our future loyal customers to come along with us!

You may have noticed that our website is missing our line of unparalleled handpainted ornaments that we have built over the past 13 years. THIS IS ONLY TEMPORARY! We have painted these lines on local and domestic shells that has given them their unique nautical and coastal appeal... BUT….over the past several years we have seen the availability of these natural shells become strained and today it is nearly impossible to buy what we need to produce our line.

More important is the fact that we do not wish to negatively affect the survival of these species of ocean creatures. We have decided to have our own resin molds made of these beautiful sand dollars, and shells to paint and provide you with our line of ornaments that will be nearly indistinguishable from the real shells.

Some of our shells will remain the real deal such as our oysters and our crab shells that we are able to obtain from the seafood industry after the creatures are harvested for food. This way we are not having any negative impact on their survival as a species.

2008 is a transition year for us as we design and have our molds made, so please be patient with us and plan to revisit our newly designed website next year where you will find a new and exciting line of ornaments with that unique coastal flair! We still have some of our designs available so if you are a past customer feel free to email us and ask about designs you have ordered in the past. We will let you know if it is available.

This year please continue to enjoy and order our magnificent line of handcrafted nautical Santas that we produce every year. Check out our 2008 numbered  Limited Edition “ the Keeper of the Light.” He is our exquisite Lighthouse Keeper who is busy protecting our Chesapeake Bay Waterman from stormy weather…but he is also the keeper of the light of hope for the cure for Breast Cancer in the near future! He wears the pink ribbon proudly and offers a small pink gift at his feet that is the promise of the cure to come for this terrible disease.

Our company will be donating $10.00 from the sale of each of these Santas to the Massey Cancer Center for Breast Cancer Research. There are many more new and exciting designs…click over to Chesapeake Santas and Angels and have a look!
