Welcome to the web site of the Chesapeake Bay Christmas Co. We are a small home-based company that started in 1995 designing and crafting hand-painted Christmas ornaments on regional shells, oysters, crabs and scallops. We wanted to express our love and appreciation for the water and especially for our own magnificent bay… The Chesapeake. Today we produce over 150 hand-painted ornament designs along with a line of hand-crafted Chesapeake Santas and Angel dolls that are adorned with blue crabs, regional birds, fish, fish net, shells, starfish and sea horses. All of our Santa and Angel dolls are one of a kind, a most unique collectible.

        We are located in New Kent County, Virginia; a quaint rural haven nestled between Richmond and Williamsburg, VA. The Pamunkey River to the North and the Chickahominy River to the south border us. Both of these pristine Virginia waterways flow into the York and the James Rivers respectively which in turn flow into the Chesapeake. Our community provides us with many of our resources and much of our inspiration.

       Lynn McPherson started the Chesapeake Bay Christmas Co. in 1995. The company now consists of three additional key artists; Lindy Brammer, Mary Albert, Shawnette Hillard, and several other friends and neighbors who help produce our product for you. Although many of our products we have at shows are not on this site, it is our desire to provide more items as we continue to grow. We hope that you will enjoy our hand-painted and hand-crafted ornaments, dolls, wreaths and other accessories that bring a little bit of the bay into your Christmas and into your lives.
